• Despite looking like a worm, belongs to group of limbless amphibians known as caecilians

• Small, rudimentary eyes, limited to distinctions between light and dark

• Sensory tentacles on snout

• Up to 85 or 90 feet long, 1 foot diameter

• Likely eats a mixture of insects and decaying plant matter

• Not fast or aggressive
