Entry #015: Ozark Howler

© Jesstin Jacobs

© Jesstin Jacobs

  • 7.5 feet long, 6 feet tall at the shoulders

  • Limbs were longer and thinner than that of an average bear

  • Horns appear similar to ram horns

  • As its name suggests, it is capable of producing loud howls that can be heard from miles away

  • Possibly related to an older species of bear, like the prehistoric short-faced bear
